The food here is excellent, especially the moussaka. The prices are fair, and much more customer friendly than most restaurants in the island. This is mine and my favourite restaurant on the island (and we live here).

We have just returned from Skiathos having had an 11 night stay. Loads of good priced restaurants mostly offering good food and good service.

The ‘Taverna Folia’ was, however, a restaurant that we used almost every other day. Why ???

Well, the food is brilliant, fair choice and superb quality AND reasonably priced, all washed down with a litre of house wine for around 6 euros (that’s the price of the wine ).

Spiros serves the food, organises bookings for larger parties if required and remembers you when you return. He’s always friendly, chats away and does his job efficiently. The best host in Skiathos’s restaurants, in my opinion. Spiros’s dad does the cooking and his mum manages the place.

We recommended this place to people we met on the Island who had been to Skiathos many times in the past but hadn’t tried this place, and since trying it once, like us returned to eat there again.

Great place. Thank you Spiros and your family for helping to make our holiday even better.

Chef Kostas is not only famed on Skiathos for his fish soup, but also creates some distinctly unusual dishes at this gorgeous little restaurant tucked away in the cobbled backstrees of Skiathos town. I had chicken breast with king prawns and apricots (yes, apricots!) and it was absolutely delicious, with a creamy sauce. Not too rich, intriguing balance of flavours, nothing left on my plate. Perfect with a half kilo of house white wine, my husband’s company, swallows skimming overhead and a Greek gentleman with a legendary moustache sitting on his step after a long hard day, chatting to everyone who passed him on their way to and from the bakery, collecting special dishes for a wedding. The air was warm and aromatic, the motorbikes zizzed past loaded with families of four (and a dog) and the sun slid down a wall to make way for the stars. Can’t wait to go back!

Found this place after wandering the winding back streets of Skiathos and what a find it was. Great service and the best grilled Kalamari I have ever had. Well worth a visit and very reasonable too.

Myself and two friends had a lovely lunch in this delightful little taverna! A delicious assortment of appetisers and a cooling carafe of excellent house wine! Very friendly service with a smile, and such good prices!!
